Torna al Sud Fellowship Artist Residency Application
|
Art Center Padula is located in Campania, 9km from the border of Basilicata and 22km from Calabria. This fellowship, sponsored by our local genealogist and Art Center Padula founding member Michele Cartusciello, was created to give international artists with roots in these regions a chance to "come home". It is open only to artists who do not currently live, and have never lived, in any of these regions.
Learn more about Michele's work here: museodelcognome.it/en/
Applicants must be able to provide the full name, plus date and place of birth of their ancestor from one of these three southern Italian regions: Campania, Basilicata, or Calabria.
Award: Full residency fee of €875.
Qualified applicants must be working at a professional level in their field. We accept applications from emerging and mid-career creatives, as well as from those who are established with national and/or international reputations.
Applications for residency are judged primarily on the quality of submitted work samples. There are no publication, exhibition, or performance requirements contingent on an Art Center Padula residency.
We encourage creative professionals of all backgrounds to apply for admission. Art Center Padula celebrates varied ideas, world views, and personal characteristics, and are committed to being an organization that welcomes and respects everyone regardless of age, ability, ethnicity, race, religion, philosophical or political beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, nationality, geographic origin, and socioeconomic status.
